Tupelo Honey
Price coming soon
Harvested each spring when white tupelo gum trees bloom along the river swamps of the Florida Panhandle and South Georgia. It is buttery and smooth with a soft floral finish, and its high fructose content means it stays liquid far longer than most honey.

Tasting notes
Buttery, mellow and lightly floral, with hints of pear and cinnamon. Light amber, with a greenish glow in the jar.
Try it with
Warm biscuits, plain yogurt, sharp cheddar, black tea, or a glaze for roast carrots and ham.
Storage
Keep it at room temperature with the lid tight. Sealed honey keeps indefinitely, so a best-by date is a quality guide. Crystallization is natural.
Tupelo Honey questions
Why is tupelo honey so rare?
White tupelo blooms for only two to three weeks each spring, in a small area of river swamps in northwest Florida and south Georgia. Beekeepers move their hives in for the bloom and harvest straight after, so each year's supply is small.
